SCHOOL FEES

School fee is money that parents pay to schools, aimed at improving the quality of education for learners. This amount is agreed to between the parent and the school. Parents who cannot afford to pay school fees must apply to the school governing board for conditional, partial or full exemption from paying school fees.

A learner may not be excluded from participation in any official school programmes because of non-payment of school fees by the parent.  A school may also not retain learner's report because the parent cannot afford to pay school fees.
